You will ensure that the actionable insights generated by Zeek, Suricata, and YARA are delivered with absolute reliability to our global customers. By orchestrating complex, real-world network scenarios across cloud and on-prem environments, you bridge the gap between infrastructure and deep network analysis to ensure that defenders have a robust foundation to hunt threats and disrupt attacks.</p> <p><strong>Specific Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Drive the End-to-End Testing Lifecycle:</strong> Act as the final technical authority on product quality, leading the strategy for stable, high-performance releases across multiple concurrent projects.</li> <li><strong>Architect Scalable Test Infrastructure:</strong> Design and maintain high-fidelity test environments across on-prem, virtual, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) using Infrastructure as Code (Ansible, Terraform).</li> <li><strong>Develop Advanced Automation:</strong> Build and optimize sophisticated automated test frameworks and utility scripts using Python and Bash to ensure fast, reliable feedback loops.</li> <li><strong>Continuous Quality Integration:</strong> Manage test code within Git and seamlessly integrate automated suites into CI/CD workflows to modernize our release cadence.</li> <li><strong>Network Protocol Deep-Dive:</strong> Perform expert-level analysis of network traffic (TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, SSL/TLS) to design realistic test scenarios that mimic sophisticated production environments.</li> <li><strong>Cross-Functional Triage:</strong> Partner with Development, Product Management, and the global QE organization to identify, prioritize, and resolve bottlenecks in the release pipeline.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Knowledge/Skills/Abilities needed to be successful:</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Proactive Problem-Solving:</strong> You are a proactive problem solver who doesn’t wait for instructions to address a bottleneck; you explore the "how" and "why" of system failures.</li> <li><strong>Collaborative Leadership:</strong> You have a proven ability to lead testing efforts across multiple teams, managing priorities effectively even when timelines or requirements are ambiguous.</li> <li><strong>Systems Thinking:</strong> You can visualize how complex network protocols and security insights interact across a geographically distributed, distributed-system architecture.</li> <li><strong>High-Fidelity Mentality:</strong> You take pride in being the final gatekeeper, ensuring that every release is robust enough to protect the mission-critical assets of our global customers.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications/Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Experience:</strong> 5–10 years of professional experience in Software Quality Engineering, SDET, or Systems Engineering roles.</li> <li><strong>Automation Mastery:</strong> High proficiency in Python and Bash for infrastructure automation and tool development.</li> <li><strong>Cloud &amp; IaC Expertise:</strong> Hands-on experience with Ansible and Terraform, as well as production experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).</li> <li><strong>Networking Foundations:</strong> Deep working knowledge of Linux administration (RHEL/Ubuntu) and core protocols including TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, and SSL/TLS.</li> <li><strong>SIEM Proficiency:</strong> Hands-on experience with security analytics tools such as Splunk, Elastic, or Microsoft Sentinel.</li> <li><strong>Education:</strong> Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related fields, or equivalent professional experience.</li> <li><strong>Preferred Differentiators:</strong> Experience with Docker/Kubernetes, CI/CD pipeline optimization, or familiarity with Zeek, Suricata, and YARA.</li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><p><strong>Why Join Us?</strong>&nbsp;</p> <p>Fueled by investments from top-tier venture capital organizations such as Crowdstrike, Accel and Insight, Corelight is one of the fastest growing network detection and response platforms in the industry.&nbsp; Our passionate team thrives in a collaborative, inclusive, and geographically distributed culture.
