<p><strong><u>GENERAL FUNCTION</u></strong></p> <p>We are seeking an experienced <strong>Senior Software Engineer </strong>with strong expertise in <strong>Contentful CMS</strong> and modern front-end technologies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable content architectures, developing content-driven web applications, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality digital experiences. Experience with cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and modern JavaScript frameworks is essential.</p> <p><strong><u>DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES</u></strong></p> <ul> <li>Design, develop, and maintain <strong>Contentful content models</strong>, content types, taxonomies, and editorial workflows.</li> <li>Define and implement scalable <strong>Content Architecture</strong> and governance standards within Contentful.</li> <li>Integrate Contentful APIs with front-end applications and enterprise systems.</li> <li>Develop responsive and performant user interfaces using <strong>React, Next.js, Angular, and TypeScript</strong>.</li> <li>Collaborate with UX designers, content authors, and business stakeholders to deliver content-driven experiences.</li> <li>Build reusable front-end components and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.</li> <li>Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and release management.</li> <li>Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical mentoring.</li> <li>Support cloud-native application deployment and monitoring within AWS environments.</li> <li>Troubleshoot production issues and optimize application performance, scalability, and security.</li> </ul> <p><strong><u>Required Skills & Qualifications</u></strong></p> <p><strong><u>Contentful CMS</u></strong></p> <ul> <li>5+ years of experience working with Contentful or similar Headless CMS platforms.</li> <li>Strong experience in:</li> <ul> <li>Content Model Design</li> <li>Content Types creation and management</li> <li>Content Relationships and References</li> <li>Content Delivery & Management APIs</li> <li>Content Migration and Environment Management</li> <li>Content Governance and Publishing Workflows</li> </ul> </ul> <p><strong><u>Front-End Development</u></strong></p> <ul> <li>Strong hands-on experience with:</li> <ul> <li>React.js</li> <li>Next.js</li> <li>Angular</li> <li>TypeScript</li> <li>JavaScript (ES6+)</li> <li>HTML5, CSS3, SCSS</li> </ul> </ul> <p><strong><u>Additional Qualifications</u></strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.</li> <li>Strong understanding of REST APIs and GraphQL.</li> <li>Familiarity with Git version control.</li> <li>Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.</li> <li>Experience mentoring junior developers is preferred.</li> </ul> <p><strong><u>EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION</u></strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent amount of experience.</li> <li>6-7 years of software engineering experience, with at least 3+ years of hands-on Contentful CMS experience.</li> <li>Team-oriented, eager to learn, and able to work in a support + enhancement environment</li> </ul> <p><strong><u>Nice to have:</u></strong></p> <ul> <li>Contentful Certifications.</li> <li>Experience with Digital Asset Management (DAM) integrations.</li> <li>Experience in large-scale website modernization or CMS migration projects.</li> <li>Experience with server-side rendering (SSR) and static site generation (SSG) using Next.js.</li> <li>Experience writing and executing Contentful content model migrations using the Contentful Migration CLI (or equivalent tools) to manage content model changes across environments in a version-controlled, automated, and repeatable manner.</li> <li>Strong understanding of Contentful environment promotion strategies and deployment best practices for content model updates</li> </ul> <p><strong><u>EMPLOYER’S RIGHTS</u></strong></p> <p>This job description does not list all the duties of the job.
