Senior Python Engineer

About this role

<p>We are looking for a Senior Python engineer to join our team.</p> <p>Our client is an established market leader, has been processing over 18 million vehicle claims per year since 2002 with more than 1,000 employees worldwide. In our role as a digitalization expert, we combine AI-based processes and the latest technologies with the knowledge of our automotive experts.</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Focus on backend development, designing and implementing software solutions in Python (especially FastAPI) and C# in the field of artificial intelligence and machine learning</li> <li>Conceptualize and test scalable applications and services that meet the requirements of our customers</li> <li>Work closely with Data Scientists, the DACE department, and other Developers to seamlessly integrate AI models into existing systems and bring them into production</li> <li>Analyze and optimize the performance of our AI-Applications to maximize their efficiency and effectiveness</li> <li>Apply your expertise and contribute to the continuous development and improvement of our development processes and methods</li> </ul> <p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Qualification: A degree in IT, physics, mathematics, or a related field, preferably complemented by a computer science degree, as well as three or more years of experience in development with C# and Python</li> <li>Experience &amp; Know-how: Solid backend experience, hands-on knowledge of FastAPI and core Python, experience in hosting AI models, as well as a basic understanding of machine learning and SQL</li> <li>Personality &amp; Working method: Excellent analytical abilities and problem-solving skills, able to work independently and stay well-organized, good team player</li> <li>Technical skills: Experience with Python (NumPy, OpenCV, FastAPI), AWS ML services, DevOps (GitLab CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, NVIDIA Triton), and backend development (REST API, OpenAPI, Swagger)</li> <li>Language: Fluent in written and spoken English</li> </ul> <p><strong>Nice-to-have:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience in LLM frameworks such as Haystack/LangChain, PyTorch as well as good in written and spoken German</li> <li>C# (Entity Framework Core, ASP.NET Core)&nbsp;</li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><p><strong>We offer*:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Flexible working format - remote, office-based or flexible</li> <li>A competitive salary and good compensation package</li> <li>Personalized career growth</li> <li>Professional development tools (mentorship program, tech talks and trainings, centers of excellence, and more)</li> <li>Active tech communities with regular knowledge sharing</li> <li>Education reimbursement</li> <li>Memorable anniversary presents</li> <li>Corporate events and team buildings</li> <li>Other location-specific benefits</li> </ul> <p>*not applicable for freelancers</p></div>
