The client is using the mobile virtual network operator business model.<br>The role combines manual QA responsibilities such as requirements analysis, test design, API testing, defect management, and regression testing, with automation activities focused mainly on backend/API test automation using Java-based frameworks.</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Analyse business requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide meaningful feedback and identify potential gaps or risks early in the development process</li> <li>Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test cases, test plans, and scripts to validate new features, ensure non-functional requirements are met, and conduct regression testing</li> <li>Perform end-to-end testing of backend functionality, focusing on web services (REST, SOAP) and ensuring seamless integration within a microservice architecture</li> <li>Contribute to API/backend test automation using Java-based automation frameworks</li> <li>Maintain and extend existing automation tests, including regression and integration test scenarios</li> <li>Identify, document and track defects, ensuring timely resolution and effective communication of issues</li> <li>Manage and maintain test data, ensuring proper setup for efficient and accurate test execution</li> <li>Validate data using SQL queries and database checks.</li> <li>Work within a cross-functional team, closely collaborating with developers, automation testers, and production support engineers to improve overall software quality</li> <li>Lead demo sessions for stakeholders, showcasing test results, findings, and key observations</li> <li>Perform troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and problem-solving, actively identifying and addressing issues to streamline development</li> <li>Communicate effectively in a multinational environment</li> <li>Contribute to continuous QA process improvements, enhancing reporting, documentation, and best practices</li> </ul> <p><strong>Requirements</strong></p> <ul> <li>3+ years of experience in software quality assurance</li> <li>Practical experience with test automation, preferably backend/API automation</li> <li>Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, testing processes, tools, and best practices</li> <li>Proven ability to write clear, concise, and comprehensive test cases</li> <li>Understanding of microservice architecture and integration testing</li> <li>Hands-on experience with Web Services (REST and SOAP)</li> <li>API testing experience (Postman, Swagger, or similar tools)</li> <li>Good skills in requirement analysis, test design, defect reporting, and risk identification</li> <li>Good practical experience with SQL for database querying and test validation</li> <li>Good understanding of XML and JSON</li> <li>Experience in Agile/Scrum/Kanban development environments</li> <li>Experience with project management tools (JIRA, Confluence) and test case management (TestRail, XRay) tools</li> <li>Knowledge and experience with messaging systems and patterns (topics, queues), and tools (Azure Service Bus)</li> <li>Understanding and hands-on experience with CI/CD processes and tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jenkins etc)</li> <li>Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail</li> <li>Ability to work independently and drive tasks to completion</li> <li>Solid verbal and written English communication skills (Upper-Intermediate)</li> </ul> <p><strong>Would be a plus</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience with Azure cloud environment and cloud-based testing</li> <li>Deeper experience with CI/CD pipelines and test execution integration</li> <li>Experience with performance, reliability, or non-functional testing</li> <li>Experience in backend-heavy or microservice-based platforms.</li> <li>Understanding of telecom industry principles</li> </ul> <p> </p><div class="content-conclusion"><p><strong>We offer*:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Flexible working format - remote, office-based or flexible</li> <li>A competitive salary and good compensation package</li> <li>Personalized career growth</li> <li>Professional development tools (mentorship program, tech talks and trainings, centers of excellence, and more)</li> <li>Active tech communities with regular knowledge sharing</li> <li>Education reimbursement</li> <li>Memorable anniversary presents</li> <li>Corporate events and team buildings</li> <li>Other location-specific benefits</li> </ul> <p>*not applicable for freelancers</p></div>
