ABOUT THE ROLE Join a small, high-caliber founding team at a Berlin-based AI-native fintech company building autonomous agent workflows for private market operations. As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you'll own technical delivery end-to-end — from discovery sessions with fund accounting and operations teams through to production launch — and feed real-world deployment insights directly back into the core product. This is a hands-on, customer-facing engineering role at the intersection of AI systems, financial operations, and rapid product iteration. You'll work on-site in Berlin with a tight founding team, operating with high autonomy and impact from day one. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Manage the full technical delivery lifecycle — discovery, scoping, build, and production launch — for AI-driven fund accounting agent deployments - Collaborate directly with customer operations teams to map existing workflows and identify adoption barriers - Convert customer processes into production-grade AI-driven workflows on the platform - Build customer-tailored prototypes with rapid iteration cycles and informed scope adjustments - Translate deployment learnings into concrete product feedback and development planning - Identify recurring patterns and develop standardized approaches and reusable components over time WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR Required: - Eligibility to work in Germany without visa sponsorship - Ability to work on-site in Berlin - Proven ability to transform customer workflows into production deployments of AI/ML-driven systems - End-to-end technical delivery ownership, from discovery through to go-live - Experience engaging stakeholders in private-market operations (e.g. fund accounting, treasury, transfer agency) - Proficiency deploying AI/ML systems to production environments — including monitoring, rollback, and production-grade tooling - 1–3 years of relevant engineering experience Nice to Have: - Comfort operating in a small founding-team environment with high ambiguity and rapid iteration - Familiarity with the tech stack: TypeScript, NestJS, Postgres, Prisma, Inngest, React, TanStack, Tailwind - Background at companies working on AI agents, workflow automation, or fintech infrastructure COMPENSATION & BENEFITS - Salary: €70,000 – €110,000 per year, depending on experience - Early-stage equity opportunity with a founding-team position - High-ownership, high-impact role within a lean and experienced team LOCATION - Berlin, Germany — on-site - Visa sponsorship is not available; candidates must already be eligible to work in Germany
