Moment Energy repurposes electric vehicle battery packs into UL-certified, modular grid-scale energy storage systems.
<div class="content-intro"><p><strong>About Moment Energy</strong></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Independent energy is here. Help us deploy it.</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Energy should be free. Free from aging grids, fragile supply chains, and unnecessary extraction. At Moment Energy, we’re building a world where clean power is abundant, affordable, and uninterrupted for everyone.</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The world doesn’t need another promise about energy; it needs proof that a freer future is possible. Moment Energy is the pragmatic liberator of power, the only company certified to turn the largest untapped energy supply into independent energy.</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Now is the moment. While the industry scraps millions of batteries with decades of life left, we put them to work by repurposing large-format batteries into advanced battery energy storage systems that deliver real-world impact.</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">We were told second-life batteries would never be safe enough or scalable enough. We didn’t argue, we engineered the solution. Today, Moment Energy delivers 5x the energy density and holds the certifications required to deploy energy independence at scale.</span></p> <p><strong>Now is the moment. Join us.</strong></p></div><h3><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>The Opportunity</strong><strong> </strong></span></h3> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Moment Energy is seeking an </span><strong>Electrical Systems Architect</strong><span style="font-weight: 400;"> to design and develop the electrical systems that power Moment Energy’s next-generation Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). This role is ideal for an engineer who thrives at the intersection of system design, manufacturability, and product integration.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Working closely with the Lead Electrical Engineer and cross-functional teams, you will translate system architecture into robust, production-ready electrical designs that can be reliably manufactured, installed, and deployed at scale. Your expertise in high-voltage battery systems, wiring design, protection systems, and electrical integration will play a critical role in bringing our products from concept to certified, manufacturable systems.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Responsibilities and Duties</strong></span></p> <ul> <li style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 12pt;">Design and develop electrical system architectures for Battery Energy Storage Systems, including HV distribution, protection, and interconnect strategies.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 12pt;">Translate high-level product architecture into detailed electrical designs suitable for manufacturing and deployment.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 12pt;">Develop and maintain electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and harness designs for production systems.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 12pt;">Define electrical interfaces between battery modules, BMS, PCS/inverters, safety systems, and control systems.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 12pt;">Design high-voltage AC & DC distribution systems (600V+), including protection devices, disconnects, busbars, and safety interlocks.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 12pt;">Ensure electrical systems meet safety, reliability, and manufacturability requirements.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 12pt;">Work closely with manufacturing and operations teams to ensure electrical designs can be built efficiently on the production floor.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 12pt;">Collaborate with mechanical engineers to integrate electrical components within enclosures and system packaging.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 12pt;">Support UL product certification efforts, including UL1973, UL9540, and UL9540A requirements.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 12pt;">Troubleshoot and resolve electrical integration issues during prototype builds, validation testing, and product launches.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 12pt;">Contribute to the continuous improvement of design standards, documentation practices, and electrical architecture guidelines.</span></li> </ul> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>The Candidate</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>We’re looking for individuals with the following traits, skills, and experiences:</strong></span></p> <ul> <li style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 12pt;">Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 12pt;">7+ years of experience designing electrical systems for high-voltage or high-power products.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 12pt;">Experience designing electrical systems for BESS, EV systems, renewable energy systems, or industrial power equipment.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 12pt;">Strong experience with high-volt
