This is an on-site role based in Penrose, CO, with a shift to Pueblo, CO, expected within the next year.</span></p> <p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><strong>In this role, the essential functions are:</strong></span></p> <ol> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Translating lab data into process requirements and equipment specifications</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Procuring existing industrial equipment where it meets cost, schedule, and performance requirements</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Developing and building first-principles solutions alongside the technician team, where existing equipment does not meet the above requirements</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Testing, refining, and commissioning equipment to bring systems into operation</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Contributing to the safe development and operation of equipment</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Identifying, communicating, and tracking engineering risks and mitigations</span></li> </ol> <p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Basic Qualifications:</strong></span></p> <ol> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or related discipline OR 4+ years of experience in chemical engineering in lieu of a degree</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Experience taking a process through design, testing, iteration, and scale-up</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Experience executing a project on schedule, within budget, and to required quality standards</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Working knowledge of mass and energy balances, fluid dynamics, and thermodynamics</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Working knowledge of common unit operations employed in chemical manufacturing</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Ability to communicate effectively through written, verbal, and presentation channels while explaining technical concepts to non-technical audiences</span></li> </ol> <p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></span></p> <ol> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">2 years of chemical engineering experience (with a bachelor’s degree in engineering) or 6 years of chemical engineering experience (in lieu of a
