You’ll make things happen–fast.</p></div><p><strong>What You'll do:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Own the tooling and services that power the next generation of our CI/CD pipelines—the GitOps deployment API/CLI (<strong>TypeScript/Node, NestJS</strong>), self-service deployment capabilities (<strong>ArgoCD</strong>/<strong>Helm</strong>/<strong>Cloud Run</strong>), the shared <strong>TypeScript</strong> package ecosystem (an <strong>Nx monorepo</strong>), and the ingress layer—making the calls on how these systems evolve, integrate, and stay reliable as a large share of the company depends on them, in partnership with our CI/CD team.</li> <li>Lead the stabilization and strategic evolution and stabilization of these mission-critical systems; prioritize technical knowledge capture and de-risk the highest-leverage deployment paths as the platform transitions to your ownership.</li> <li>Lead technical direction—golden paths, standards, and the multi-quarter roadmap—across the delivery tooling and the <strong>Go</strong> automation and intelligence platform (internal APIs, durable workflows, agentic tooling), including build-vs-buy, consolidation, and sunset calls.</li> <li>Stay hands-on at the hard edges—design and build the highest-leverage, highest-risk components yourself in <strong>Go</strong> and <strong>TypeScript/Node</strong>, and set the patterns others follow.</li> <li>Shape how we apply <strong>Agentic AI</strong>, <strong>MCP (Model Context Protocol)</strong>, and durable workflows (<strong>Temporal</strong>) to automate the creation, upgrading, and auditing of infrastructure.</li> <li>Mentor senior and mid-level engineers, raise the quality bar through design and code review, and influence partner teams—CI/CD, the embedded DevOps teams, and the org that co-owns the shared monorepo—without relying on positional authority.</li> </ul> <p><strong>What you bring:</strong></p> <ul> <li>12+ years of backend, platform, or infrastructure engineering experience, or equivalent impact and technical leadership.</li> <li>A track record of architecting and operating tooling, services, or platforms that many other teams depend on—API/contract design, versioning and backward compatibility, blast-radius management, and the judgment to keep a high-traffic system evolvable.</li> <li>Strong experience in <strong>at least one of</strong> the following:</li> <ul> <li><strong>Delivery / GitOps tooling</strong> — <strong>ArgoCD</strong> (ideally ApplicationSets), <strong>Helm</strong>, and building deployment tooling that other engineers rely on</li> <li><strong>Backend platform & API engineering</strong> at scale, on systems many teams build on</li> </ul> <li>Proficiency in <strong>Go or TypeScript/JavaScript</strong>, with strong working ability in the other. Our delivery systems are <strong>TypeScript/Node (NestJS, in an Nx monorepo)</strong>; our automation platform core is <strong>Go</strong>.</li> <li>Experience with <strong>Kubernetes (K8s)</strong>, serverless runtimes (<strong>GCP Cloud Run</strong> or equivalent), and major cloud providers (<strong>GCP</strong> and <strong>AWS</strong>)</li> <li>A track record of leading a high-stakes inheritance or migration, setting direction across a team, mentoring senior engineers, and driving alignment across organizational boundaries.</li> <li>Practical experience or strong theoretical depth in <strong>Agentic AI</strong>, <strong>MCP</strong>, and <strong>A2A (Agent-to-Agent)</strong> frameworks, and a point of view on where they belong in an infrastructure platform.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred Qualification:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience with durable execution (<strong>Temporal</strong> or similar) for stateful distributed workflows, and with <strong>Terraform</strong> at scale.</li> <li>Experience with multi-runtime delivery (Cloud Functions, Dataflow, Lambda) beyond Cloud Run.</li> <li>Experience co-owning a shared monorepo or platform across multiple teams or orgs.</li> <li>Contributions to open-source infrastructure, CD, or developer-tooling projects.</li> <li>Helm, Argo, Istio</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p> </p><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="description"><p>Actual compensation offered will be based on factors such as the candidate’s work location, qualifications, skills, experience and/or training.
