You will lead the technical direction and day-to-day execution of the engineering team while remaining actively involved in architecture, development, code reviews, and solving complex technical problems. The environment is primarily built around <strong>TypeScript, Node.js, and Microsoft Azure</strong>, with a growing emphasis on incorporating <strong>AI-assisted development and AI capabilities</strong> into both the engineering workflow and the products we build.<br>We are looking for someone who understands how modern AI tools can improve software engineering and is comfortable helping a team adopt them thoughtfully. Experience with tools such as <strong>Claude</strong> is a plus.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Provide technical leadership for engineering teams across Los Angeles, Mexico, and India</li> <li>Own technical direction, architecture decisions, engineering standards, and implementation strategy</li> <li>Remain hands-on with development using TypeScript and Node.js</li> <li>Design and build scalable applications and services within Microsoft Azure</li> <li>Lead technical design discussions and translate business and product requirements into practical engineering solutions</li> <li>Review code, provide technical guidance, and help engineers solve complex development challenges</li> <li>Coordinate development across distributed teams and ensure alignment on priorities, architecture, standards, and delivery expectations</li> <li>Partner closely with product, delivery, client stakeholders, and other engineering leaders</li> <li>Identify technical risks and dependencies early and drive them to resolution</li> <li>Improve engineering practices around code quality, testing, deployment, observability, and maintainability</li> <li>Promote the effective use of AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity and software quality</li> <li>Help identify opportunities to incorporate AI capabilities into applications, workflows, and internal engineering processes</li> <li>Mentor engineers and raise the overall technical capability of the team</li> </ul> <p><strong>Required Skills:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Strong experience as a <strong>Technical Lead, Lead Software Engineer, or Senior Software Engineer</strong> with technical leadership responsibilities</li> <li>Strong hands-on development experience with <strong>TypeScript and Node.js</strong></li> <li>Experience designing and delivering production applications in <strong>Microsoft Azure</strong></li> <li>Strong understanding of modern application architecture, APIs, cloud services, and distributed systems</li> <li>Experience leading or coordinating engineers across multiple locations or time zones</li> <li>Ability to balance hands-on engineering work with technical leadership and team coordination</li> <li>Strong code review, debugging, architecture, and problem-solving skills</li> <li>Experience working directly with product, delivery, and business stakeholders</li> <li>Strong communication skills and the ability to provide clear technical direction to distributed teams</li> <li>Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where priorities and technical requirements may evolve</li> </ul> <p><strong>Nice to have:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience using <strong>Claude</strong> or similar AI coding and development tools</li> <li>Experience implementing AI or LLM-powered functionality within production applications</li> <li>Familiarity with AI development patterns, APIs, agents, or developer tooling</li> <li>Experience leading teams distributed across the <strong>US, Mexico, and India</strong></li> <li>Consulting or client-facing engineering experience</li> </ul> <h4 data-start="290" data-end="312">Location:</h4> <ul> <li>This is an <strong data-start="366" data-end="381">onsite role</strong> requiring <strong data-start="392" data-end="411">4 days per week</strong> between <strong data-start="420" data-end="451">Downtown Los Angeles (DTLA)</strong> and <strong data-start="456" data-end="473">Beverly Hills</strong>, based on business needs.</li> </ul> <h4 data-start="290" data-end="312">Employment type:</h4> <ul> <li>Full-Time</li> </ul> <h4 data-start="290" data-end="312">Salary Range:</h4> <ul> <li>$150,000 – $180,000 USD Annually (depending on experience) + Benefits&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p class="p1">*<strong>Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time</strong></p><div class="content-conclusion"><p>Tech Holding is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and is committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.
