THE ADVENTURE AHEAD 🚀 As a Staff Product Engineer at Docebo, you won't just ship features—you will define product direction and solve high-impact, ambiguous technical challenges across our entire ecosystem. Operating at the dynamic intersection of product strategy, full-stack architecture, and AI-accelerated execution, you will design scalable, long-lived systems that power the future of work-based learning. In this pivotal role, you will elevate both our modern tech ecosystem and the engineers around you, turning complex technical possibilities into seamless experiences for millions of learners worldwide. THE DAY-TO-DAY 🛠️ - Architect the Future: Define long-term architectural standards and design resilient systems, leveraging our modern stack—including serverless services, Node.js (TypeScript), Golang, PHP, Angular, React, and AWS cloud infrastructure—to maximize performance and developer velocity. - Lead High-Impact Initiatives: Spearhead complex, end-to-end, cross-functional product initiatives from problem framing straight through to measurable business outcomes. - Shape Product Strategy: Partner closely with Product and Design leaders to influence roadmaps, test assumptions, and ensure technical leverage is built into strategic decisions. - Create AI-Powered Leverage: Institutionalize AI-assisted development practices, standards, and guardrails to help our teams safely ship faster with dramatically higher output. - Elevate Engineering Excellence: Raise the bar across CI/CD, observability, testing, and operational reliability while eliminating systemic bottlenecks across teams. - Connect with Customers & Impact: Engage directly with internal stakeholders and customers to deeply understand pain points, using product analytics tools to design experiments and measure results. - Mentor and Multiply: Coach engineers across disciplines on architecture, product thinking, and AI tools, driving alignment and leading through technical credibility. YOUR SUPERPOWERS ⚡ - SaaS Mastery: 10–12+ years of full-stack software development experience with a proven track record of designing, building, and shipping complex SaaS products end-to-end. - Language & Tech Agility: Experience working with multi-language backends and frameworks—our stack uses PHP, Node.js, Golang, Angular, React, and serverless technology—and a readiness to tackle scalability, ADRs, and performance tasks in PHP services without requiring prior PHP proficiency. - AI-Assisted Power: Mastery of AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, or similar) with a habit of leveraging them daily to supercharge software output. - Analytics & Experimentation Drive: Advanced fluency with product analytics platforms (PostHog, Amplitude, Mixpanel) and comfortable driving experimentation through feature flags and A/B testing. - DevOps & Cloud Proficiency: Advanced experience with CI/CD pipelines, cloud environments (AWS), containerization (Kubernetes), and modern observability practices. - Ambiguity Navigation: Exceptional ability to break down complex, undefined problems into crisp, executable technical plans with clear tradeoffs. - Leadership & Collaboration: Outstanding track record of mentoring engineering talent, communicating directly with customers and stakeholders, and influencing cross-functional teams without direct authority. BONUS POINTS 🎯 - Diverse Tech Expertise: Hands-on experience with modern backend or frontend languages (Node.js, TypeScript, Go, Angular, React Native) that add versatility to our multi-tech ecosystem. - Advanced Academic Background: A Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). We’ll get to know you, share more about the role and team, and make sure we’re aligned. - Step 2: A 60-minute video call with the hiring manager, where they’ll dig deeper into your experience, approach, and what excites you most about this opportunity. - Step 3: A deep-dive technical and architectural assessment to explore your approach to system design, AI leverage, and problem-solving. - Step 4: A final panel interview focusing on cross-functional collaboration, product strategy alignment, and leadership.
