You’ll help deliver distributed, scalable systems that power meaningful connections between carriers and their customers. The ideal candidate brings experience developing in cloud environments and a pragmatic, hands-on approach to creating solutions — thoughtfully applying new technologies, including AI-assisted development tools, to solve complex problems and deliver meaningful outcomes.</p> <p><em><span data-contrast="auto"><span data-ccp-props="{"134233117":false,"134233118":false,"335557856":16777215,"335559738":0,"335559739":180}"><span data-contrast="none">Teamwork and shared enthusiasm are a core part of our culture, which is why this role involves joining us in the Boston Office for 3 days each week.</span></span><span data-ccp-props="{}">&nbsp;</span>&nbsp;</span></em></p> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>What You'll Do:</strong></span></p> <ul> <li>Design, build, and deliver scalable, reliable software across the stack — developing distributed systems and data-driven features that support carrier and customer experiences with strong performance, reliability, and maintainability.</li> <li>Collaborate closely with product and design to translate customer needs into technical solutions that drive measurable value.</li> <li>Apply modern AI development tools (e.g., Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code) to accelerate implementation, testing, and documentation.</li> <li>Write clean, testable, and efficient code, continuously improving architecture and development practices through code reviews and refactoring.</li> <li>Contribute to technical strategy, balancing pragmatic decision-making with long-term scalability and system health.</li> <li>Mentor and collaborate with peers, helping elevate engineering standards and culture through example and feedback.</li> </ul> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>What We’re Looking For:</strong></span></p> <ul> <li>Typically has 6+ Years of Software Development Experience. Candidates with more experience are encouraged to apply as well.</li> <li>Proven track record of delivering high-quality applications and features to production.</li> <li>Experience designing and building distributed architectures, ideally in the AWS ecosystem, with a strong understanding of principles such as separation of concerns, scalability, and loose coupling</li> <li>Practical experience using AI tools (e.g., Copilot, Cursor, or Claude Code) to improve development workflows and productivity</li> <li>Strong experience with relational and document-oriented databases, including performance tuning and scaling.</li> <li>Proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript, and frontend frameworks such as React.</li> <li>Familiarity with automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and modern code management practices.</li> <li>Passion for clean code, design patterns, and continuous improvement.</li> <li><strong>At this time, we are only able to consider candidates who are currently authorized to work in the U.S. and will not require sponsorship now or in the future.</strong></li> </ul> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong><span data-contrast="auto">Compensation, Benefits &amp; Perks:</span></strong></span><span data-ccp-props="{"201341983":0,"335559739":160,"335559740":278}"><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>&nbsp;</strong></span><br></span><span data-contrast="auto">At Hi Marley, we are committed to fair and transparent pay practices.
