Sr. Software Engineer - (Blockchain & Digital Assets)

About this role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer with strong backend engineering expertise and hands-on experience in Custody, Digital Assets, Tokenization, Blockchain technologies, and modern software engineering practices . The ideal candidate will have extensive experience building secure, scalable, and high-performance enterprise applications, with strong proficiency in Node.js and/or Java Spring Boot , along with exposure to Blockchain platforms, Digital Asset ecosystems, and Large Language Models (LLM) . The role requires a strong engineering mindset, experience working in Banking, Financial Services, or FinTech environments , and the ability to contribute to architecture, design, development, and delivery of complex enterprise-grade solutions. Requirements Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Node.js and/or Java Spring Boot . Build and enhance solutions related to Custody platforms, Digital Assets, Tokenization, and Blockchain-based systems . Develop secure and reliable services following enterprise software engineering standards. Collaborate with architects, product teams, engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions. Ensure technical quality across application architecture, design, coding practices, security, testing, and documentation. Participate in system design discussions and contribute towards technology decisions. Research, evaluate, and benchmark emerging technologies against industry best practices. Implement clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following engineering standards. Develop and maintain unit tests to ensure application reliability and performance. Work within Agile delivery methodologies and contribute effectively to Scrum ceremonies. Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide effective solutions. Support continuous improvement initiatives across software engineering practices. Required Technical Skills & Experience Backend Development Strong hands-on experience with Node.js backend development. Experience with Java Spring Boot application development. Strong understanding of backend architecture, APIs, microservices, and enterprise application development. Experience designing and developing scalable, secure, and high-performing systems. Blockchain & Digital Assets Hands-on experience working on projects involving: Custody platforms Digital Assets Tokenization Blockchain technologies Understanding of blockchain concepts, architecture, and integration patterns. Experience building or integrating solutions within digital asset ecosystems is highly preferred. Artificial Intelligence Experience or exposure working with Large Language Models (LLM) and AI-enabled applications. Understanding of modern AI integration patterns within enterprise applications is preferred. Functional Skills & Domain Experience 7+ years of experience for Software Engineer/Senior Software Engineer level. 12+ years of experience for Senior/Lead Software Engineer level. Strong experience in Banking, Financial Services, or FinTech enterprise environments . Experience delivering complex enterprise-grade software solutions. Strong understanding of: Secure coding practices Software development lifecycle Unit testing standards Technical documentation practices Application architecture and design principles Experience working in Agile methodology environments. Ability to research, evaluate, and adopt best-in-class technologies. Preferred Qualifications Experience working on payment platforms, financial technology products, or digital banking solutions. Experience in highly regulated financial environments. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent collaboration and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional engineering team.
