As a member of our engineering team, you will play a key role in improving the user experience and functionality, ultimately helping to positively impact patient outcomes.</span></p> <p><span style="color: #000000;"> </span></p> <p><span style="color: #000000;">Software Engineer - Patient Portal Application is responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of services for our patient-facing web portal and adjacent microservices. The role requires working with a mix of modern and legacy technologies in a rapidly changing environment and the ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and systems.</span></p> <p><span style="color: #000000;"> </span></p> <p><span style="color: #000000;">PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:</span></p> <ul> <li style="color: !important;"><span style="color: #000000;">Participate in design and technical implementation decisions and help guide key stakeholders on the team, such as product managers, UI/UX designers, to ensure that design and technical decisions meet a high standard of excellence.</span></li> <li style="color: !important;"><span style="color: #000000;">Work closely with Product Managers to gather requirements, walk through the design with stakeholders, and support software all the way from initial ideation to release, operation, and maintenance.</span></li> <li style="color: !important;"><span style="color: #000000;">Participate in designing, building, and maintaining highly available systems to support our business applications, users, providers, and patients.</span></li> <li style="color: !important;"><span style="color: #000000;">Support QA activities in conjunction with our QA engineering teams</span></li> </ul> <p><span style="color: #000000;"> </span></p> <p><span style="color: #000000;">QUALIFICATIONS:</span></p> <ul> <li style="color: !important;"><span style="color: #000000;">5+ years of overall software development experience, preferably secure, scalable web applications with NodeJS, TypeScript, React, and other web technologies</span></li> <li style="color: !important;"><span style="color: #000000;">Experience with front-end development.</span></li> <li style="color: !important;"><span style="color: #000000;">Experience with software development lifecycle processes including building, software configuration, releases and deployment activities</span></li> <li style="color: !important;"><span style="color: #000000;">Extensive knowledge and experience with Test-Driven Development and/or Domain-Driven Development Experience with service-oriented and microservice architecture</span></li> <li style="color: !important;"><span style="color: #000000;">Experience building, maintaining, troubleshooting, and expanding software within the AWS ecosystem: EC2, ECS, Lambda, Step Functions, SQS, SNS, S3, etc</span></li> <li style="color: !important;"><span style="color: #000000;">Experience with GraphQL and REST API design and event-driven architecture using distributed event stores (such as Kafka)</span></li> <li style="color: !important;"><span style="color: #000000;">Strong relational database skills including database design and optimization</span></li> <li style="color: !important;"><span style="color: #000000;">Demonstrated teamwork skills with a solid analytical background</span></li> <li style="color: !important;"><span style="color: #000000;">Excellent organizational, communication, presentation, and facilitation skills</span></li> </ul> <p><span style="color: #000000;">KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:</span></p> <ul> <li style="color: !important;"><span style="color: #000000;">JavaScript Programming</span></li> <li style="color: !important;"><span style="color: #000000;">Java Programming is nice to have</span></li> <li style="color: !important;"><span style="color: #000000;">SQL and NoSQL database experience including MySQL, ElasticSearch, and DynamoDB</span></li> <li style="color: !important;"><span style="color: #000000;">AWS Services, such as EC2, Lambdas, Step Functions, SQS, S3, and SNS</span></li> <li style="color: !important;"><span style="color: #000000;">Build infrastructure as code with Terraform and Cloud Formation</span></li> <li style="color: !important;"><span style="color: #000000;">Docker or container-oriented technologies</span></li> <li style="color: !important;"><span style="color: #000000;">GraphQL and REST APIS</span></li> <li style="color: !important;"><span style="color: #000000;">Microservice Architecture</span></li> <li style="color: !important;"><span style="color: #000000;">Experience with some front-end technologies such as React, Sass, Material, HTML, CSS, Javascript, Node</span></li> <li style="color: !important;"><span style="color: #000000;">CI / CD (Gitlab)</span></li> <li style="color: !important;"><span style="color: #000000;">Quality Assurance Mindset</span></li> </ul> <p><span style="color: #000000;"> </span></p><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="description">The pay range is listed and actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location.
