You’ll use existing frameworks to automate UI and API tests, partner closely with developers, and help create smooth, consistent experiences for users.</span></p> <p><span style="color: #000000;">We work closely across teams to build confidence in every release, and we’re excited to bring on a tester who’s passionate about quality and eager to make an impact!</span></p> <p><span style="color: #000000;">As an SDET II Contractor, you’ll take ownership of automation and validation for assigned features, apply a quality-first mindset, and contribute to continuous improvement across the team.</span></p> <h3><span style="color: #000000;"><strong>Responsibilities</strong></span></h3> <ul> <li style="color: #000000 !important;"><span style="color: #000000;">Build and maintain automated UI and API tests in Python using tools like pytest and Jenkins</span></li> <li style="color: #000000 !important;"><span style="color: #000000;">Test how backend and API changes affect client functionality and user experience</span></li> <li style="color: #000000 !important;"><span style="color: #000000;">Review developer pull requests to spot potential client issues early</span></li> <li style="color: #000000 !important;"><span style="color: #000000;">Troubleshoot Jenkins jobs and help keep test suites stable and reliable</span></li> <li style="color: #000000 !important;"><span style="color: #000000;">Share results, document insights, and collaborate with leads and developers to keep testing practical and effective<br></span></li> </ul> <p><span style="color: #000000;">In this role, you’ll focus on building confidence through solid test coverage and thoughtful validation — helping the team find issues faster and improve quality across every release.</span></p> <h3><span style="color: #000000;"><strong>Qualifications</strong></span></h3> <ul> <li style="color: #000000 !important;"><span style="color: #000000;">Skilled in Python 3.11 with hands-on automation experience using pytest 7 or newer</span></li> <li style="color: #000000 !important;"><span style="color: #000000;">Experience with UI automation using Appium 2 (preferred) or Selenium 4</span></li> <li style="color: #000000 !important;"><span style="color: #000000;">Strong background in API testing with Python tools such as requests, pytest, or Postman</span></li> <li style="color: #000000 !important;"><span style="color: #000000;">Comfortable using Jenkins, including creating and troubleshooting jobs and pipelines</span></li> <li style="color: #000000 !important;"><span style="color: #000000;">Proficient with Git for version control and collaborative workflows</span></li> <li style="color: #000000 !important;"><span style="color: #000000;">Familiar with test management tools such as qTest or TestRail and Agile development processes</span></li> <li style="color: #000000 !important;"><span style="color: #000000;">Experience designing test cases, ability to learn about a product and consider how it can be validated</span></li> </ul> <h3><span style="color: #000000;"><strong>Nice to Have</strong></span></h3> <ul> <li style="color: #000000 !important;"><span style="color: #000000;">Background testing media playback, navigation, or other client-facing user experiences</span></li> <li style="color: #000000 !important;"><span style="color: #000000;">Knowledge of front-end quality practices like accessibility or visual regression validation</span></li> <li style="color: #000000 !important;"><span style="color: #000000;">Curiosity about PlayStation applications and how customers interact with them</span></li> </ul><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="description"><p>At SIE, working with our partners, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.&nbsp;<br><br>Please note that the individual base pay range may vary based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.<br><br>In addition, this role is eligible for benefit offerings that include medical, dental, and vision.
