Join Sony Interactive Entertainment's Quality Engineering organization and help ensure the quality, stability, and performance of innovative iOS mobile applications.</span></p> <p><span style="color: #000000;">We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented <strong>Software Quality Engineer (Contract)</strong> to support end-to-end testing efforts across our iOS application ecosystem. In this role, you will work closely with software engineers, SDETs, and product teams to validate new features, execute comprehensive test plans, expand automation coverage, and help deliver high-quality releases.</span></p> <p><span style="color: #000000;">This position is focused on quality engineering and test execution. While it is not a full-time software development role, candidates should have strong automation experience and be comfortable working with automation frameworks, reviewing automated tests, and collaborating with automation engineers to improve test coverage and CI/CD validation.</span></p> <p> </p> <h2><span style="color: #000000;"><strong>What You'll Be Doing</strong></span></h2> <ul> <li style="color: #000000 !important;"><span style="color: #000000;">Execute end-to-end testing activities for iOS mobile applications, including functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.</span></li> <li style="color: #000000 !important;"><span style="color: #000000;">Review product requirements, UX flows, and technical designs to identify test scenarios and develop comprehensive test plans.</span></li> <li style="color: #000000 !important;"><span style="color: #000000;">Perform manual and automated testing using iOS simulators, physical devices, and cloud testing platforms such as Sauce Labs or BrowserStack.</span></li> <li style="color: #000000 !important;"><span style="color: #000000;">Collaborate with developers and SDETs to identify opportunities to increase automation coverage and improve overall test effectiveness.</span></li> <li style="color: #000000 !important;"><span style="color: #000000;">Execute and validate automated test suites, investigate failures, and support troubleshooting of automation issues.</span></li> <li style="color: #000000 !important;"><span style="color: #000000;">Analyze application logs, reproduce reported issues, validate bug fixes, and assist with root cause analysis.</span></li> <li style="color: #000000 !important;"><span style="color: #000000;">Create clear and actionable defect reports, including reproduction steps, logs, screenshots, and supporting evidence.</span></li> <li style="color: #000000 !important;"><span style="color: #000000;">Validate mobile application interactions with backend services through API and integration testing, including testing with mocked services when appropriate.</span></li> <li style="color: #000000 !important;"><span style="color: #000000;">Support continuous integration and release validation by executing automated and manual test activities within CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions.</span></li> <li style="color: #000000 !important;"><span style="color: #000000;">Work closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, product management, architecture, QA, and operations in an agile development environment.</span></li> </ul> <p> </p> <h2><span style="color: #000000;"><strong>What We're Looking For</strong></span></h2> <ul> <li style="color: #000000 !important;"><span style="color: #000000;">5+ years of experience in software quality engineering, with strong hands-on experience testing iOS mobile applications.</span></li> <li style="color: #000000 !important;"><span style="color: #000000;">Experience creating test plans, identifying test scenarios, and executing comprehensive manual and automated testing.</span></li> <li style="color: #000000 !important;"><span style="color: #000000;">Hands-on experience with mobile automation frameworks such as Appium and familiarity with Python-based automation.</span></li> <li style="color: #000000 !important;"><span style="color: #000000;">Understanding of the iOS application release lifecycle, including TestFlight, build pipelines, versioning, and release validation.</span></li> <li style="color: #000000 !important;"><span style="color: #000000;">Experience testing on iOS simulators, physical devices, and cloud testing platforms such as Sauce Labs or BrowserStack.</span></li> <li style="color: #000000 !important;"><span style="color: #000000;">Familiarity with automation frameworks such as <strong>Pytest</strong>, WebdriverIO, or Playwright, with the ability to review automated tests, troubleshoot failures, and collaborate with automation engineers.</span></li> <li style="color: #000000 !important;"><span style="color: #000000;">Basic programming or scripting experience (Python preferred; Java, JavaScript, or C# is a plus) sufficient to understa
