This role is pending contract award.&nbsp;</strong></em></span></h2> <h2><strong>Position summary&nbsp;</strong></h2> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">The Senior Software Engineer’s purpose is to improve overall engineering quality through documentation, technical guidance and mentoring, and applying best practices to the work. The incumbent leads significant migration efforts and routinely works with government stakeholders to get buy-in on technical initiatives. This role collaborates with the product team, government stakeholders, and other contractors to build new systems and make improvements to existing systems. These responsibilities support Nava’s culture and mission.</span></p> </div> <h2>What you'll do</h2> <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Leading a distributed engineering team to design, review, and build well-crafted software</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Collaborate with government partners and other contractors to architect, implement, and deploy new systems and improvements to existing systems</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Working in an agile manner to efficiently ship new features that meet user needs</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Creating tools and processes to automate our development, testing, and production workflows</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Writing and reviewing technical documentation, performing code reviews</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Participating in an on-call rotation to support production systems and investigate issues when they occur</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Taking part in hiring activities (e.g., submitting referrals, conducting interviews, and attending interview debriefs), as needed</span></li> </ul> <h2>Required skills</h2> <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Experience in C#/.NET, designing and implementing RESTful APIS and microservice architecture&nbsp;</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Hands on experience deploying and operating applications in Microsoft Azure</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Experience working on large-scale applications and systems</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;" data-local-id="f336763a9695" data-prosemirror-content-type="node" data-prosemirror-node-name="paragraph" data-prosemirror-node-block="true"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Experience with cloud-native architecture, scalability, and performance optimization</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;" data-local-id="78bd64e716dd" data-prosemirror-content-type="node" data-prosemirror-node-name="paragraph" data-prosemirror-node-block="true"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Knowledge of secure software development practices and authentication/authorization patterns</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;" data-local-id="1518b3f1bee8" data-prosemirror-content-type="node" data-prosemirror-node-name="paragraph" data-prosemirror-node-block="true"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;" data-local-id="09284feb94df" data-prosemirror-content-type="node" data-prosemirror-node-name="paragraph" data-prosemirror-node-block="true"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Familiarity with Git-based workflows and modern software development practices</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;" data-local-id="04ea4759b734" data-prosemirror-content-type="node" data-prosemirror-node-name="paragraph" data-prosemirror-node-block="true"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Experience leading engineering teams and providing technical direction and architecture guidance</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;" data-local-id="4453e8221745" data-prosemirror-content-type="node" data-prosemirror-node-name="paragraph" data-prosemirror-node-block="true"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Ability to review code, mentor engineers, and enforce engineering standards</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;" data-local-id="672a92c71707" data-prosemirror-content-type="node" data-prosemirror-node-name="paragraph" data-prosemirror-node-block="true"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Experience working in Agile development environments</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;" data-local-id="986244754ceb" data-
