The company has developed an integrated photonic system-on-chip technology for next generation navigation. ANELLO's SIPHOG™ gyroscope is based on its patented photonic integrated circuit technology. The result is a product that is higher performance, much smaller size and weight, and a fraction of the cost of traditional gyros used in industrial, aerospace and military applications. It enables reliable and accurate navigation and positioning across many autonomous applications. ANELLO is currently mid-level volume manufacturing shipping product to various market-leading customers in the Construction, Farming, Trucking, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, Autonomous Vehicles, and National Security segments. This position will focus on our next generation offering, in R&D stage, that is fully funded with customers in place for high volume production.

Responsibilities

Perform advanced design, tolerancing, and FEA analysis for strain, vibrational nodes, model analysis, thermal and shock analysis.

Responsible for optical system design based on experimental and system modeling.

Capable of analysis of key performance metrics and derive tolerance errors and mechanical tolerance analysis

Assemble, qualify, and debug new optical-mechanical module systems and subsystems, including light source, lens system and detection sensor

Develop optical tooling and fixture to assist high-precision alignment and assembling process - Establish optical subsystem build and qualification process and release reliable process to Manufacturing

Work with the Manufacturing department & supplier to support volume ramp and optical quality control

Qualifications

BS, MS/Ph.D. Mechanical and/or Optical Engineering and 8+ years experience

Experience w/CAD package, preferably Solidworks, Ansys, including FEA (Zemax exp a plus)

Solid knowledge of optical system, optical design and optical material

Good experience and design skillset with opto mechanical assemblies

Strong hands-on skill set on assembling, testing and troubleshooting capability with optical system

Good experience with optical element vendors and design house for new product development as well as ramping up volume production

Work effectively as a team player with other functional team members

Reliable and independent work style, highly accountable and responsible for the outputs'

Additional information:

Candidates must be US Persons (US Permanent Residents or US Citizens) to be considered for jobs at ANELLO.

ANELLO does not accept unsolicited resumes from recruiters or employment agencies.
