Our more than 22,000 employees are committed to relentlessly enhancing the fan experience and delighting sports fans globally.

Company Background

Topps, a legendary name in trading cards and collectibles, is a digital-first division within Fanatics. At Fanatics Collectibles, we're reimagining the collector experience with cutting-edge digital platforms across Topps.com, the Fanatics Collect marketplace, and Fanatics Live. Our growth and lifecycle marketing runs on a modern MarTech stack — and we need an engineer to own it.

The Role

We're looking for a Senior MarTech Integration Engineer to own our event stream from Segment through every downstream destination — Braze, Amplitude, Snowflake, AppsFlyer, and ad platforms. You will be the technical owner of how event data is governed, transformed, routed, and consumed once it reaches our CDP: schemas, identity, audiences, destination configuration, and delivery reliability all belong to you.

Upstream of Segment, you will partner with engineers across web, mobile, and backend to define event contracts, review instrumentation, and ensure what lands in Segment is correct, complete, and usable downstream. This is not a "keep the lights on" integration role. Our eventing and attribution infrastructure spans multiple products, and we need a hands-on owner who can drive it toward a single, governed source of truth while supporting high-velocity growth experimentation.

Key Responsibilities

- Event Stream Ownership (Segment → Downstream): Own the event pipeline from Segment through all downstream MarTech destinations — Braze, Amplitude, Snowflake, AppsFlyer, and ad platforms. Own destination configuration, transformations, audience sync, and delivery reliability. Contribute to the evolution toward Segment as the single source of truth, including facade/proxy service patterns that decouple product code from destination-specific logic.

- Upstream Partnership & Event Contracts: Work closely with product and data engineering teams across Topps, Collect, and Live to influence how events arrive in Segment. Define event contracts and schema standards, review instrumentation changes, and validate that payloads emitted by web, mobile, and backend systems are correct and complete before they enter the pipeline.

- Identity Resolution: Own the identity model within Segment and downstream destinations — ensuring users are consistently and correctly resolved across event sources so that audiences, attribution, and lifecycle messaging reach the right person.

- Lifecycle & Engagement Integrations: Implement and maintain Braze integrations, including audience sync, catalog/data feeds, and event-triggered messaging. Validate triggers, rendering, and data flows. Partner with lifecycle marketing to translate campaign requirements into reliable implementations.

- Attribution & Measurement: Own AppsFlyer configuration and mobile attribution, UTM and web attribution integrity, and the downstream routing that lets us measure which channels drive acquisition.

- Data Governance & Cost Control: Establish event schema standards, naming conventions, and QA gates. Audit and manage destination configuration, event volume, and platform spend across the stack.

Required Qualifications

- 5+ years of software engineering experience, with a focus on integrating third-party platforms and SDKs within complex ecosystems.

- Strong SQL — able to independently validate data end to end, from raw event streams to warehouse tables.

- Deep, hands-on experience with at least 2–3 of: Segment (or another CDP such as mParticle), Braze (or Iterable/Klaviyo/SFMC), Amplitude, Snowflake, AppsFlyer (or another MMP). Direct experience with competitor tools in each category counts.

- Working knowledge of web and/or mobile client technologies (React/NextJS, Swift, or Kotlin) — enough to review instrumentation, understand SDK behavior within application lifecycles, and partner credibly with product engineers.

- Expertise in event-driven architecture, data instrumentation, and payload validation.

- Proven track record troubleshooting distributed systems and ensuring data integrity across multiple platforms.
