You'll design and build the integrations, pipelines, and APIs that keep Clara's financial data flowing reliably across dozens of third-party connections. Fullstack here is real — several of our most important upcoming initiatives require building internal tooling and client-facing interfaces from scratch, and you'll be expected to own those end to end. AI fluency is central to how we work on this team — you're expected to use it across the full development lifecycle, from design to deployment, and to reach for it whenever it makes you faster or better. In this role, you will: <ul> <li>Design, build, and maintain backend integrations with payment processors, ERP platforms, and financial infrastructure providers across Latin America</li> <li>Architect scalable, secure, and observable services that handle sensitive financial data with the reliability our clients depend on</li> <li>Build and own frontend interfaces when the initiative calls for it — internal tooling, integration dashboards, configuration UIs</li> <li>Use AI tools to automate repetitive engineering workflows, accelerate delivery, and close skill gaps — from scaffolding integrations to generating and reviewing code</li> <li>Set the technical bar through code reviews, architectural input, and hands-on mentorship of junior and mid-level engineers</li> <li>Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Data to translate complex integration requirements into reliable, maintainable solutions</li> <li>Identify and tackle tech debt that creates operational risk or slows the team down</li> </ul> Who you are We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. Must haves: <ul> <li>5+ years of backend software development experience, with at least 1–2 years working across the full stack</li> <li>Strong software architecture and system design skills — you've built systems that scale and fail gracefully</li> <li>Strong proficiency in one or more backend languages; our primary stack is Java / Spring Boot</li> <li>Good frontend knowledge in one or more frontend language/framework (our stack is React)</li> <li>Demonstrated use of AI tools throughout the development process — design, coding, code review, debugging, and documentation.
