This is a foundational product role: you'll define and drive the roadmap for the tools every engineer at Addepar uses to build, test, and ship code including the developer portal, golden paths and service scaffolding, shared application frameworks and micro-frontend infrastructure, CI pipelines, build and test infrastructure, artifact management, and the deployment path from commit to production.

You'll work closely with the rest of the Developer Platform group to translate developer pain points and platform strategy into a prioritized, outcome-driven roadmap. This role reports into the Product Manager leadership for the entire developer platform and partners day-to-day with the Developer Platform engineering leads and team leads.

Addepar takes a market-based approach to pay. A successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on the role, job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target base salary for roles in Colorado, California, and New York.

The current range for this role is $142,000 - $223,000 (base salary) + bonus + equity + benefits.

Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. Additionally, these ranges reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits.

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without requiring current or future visa sponsorship (for example, employment-based visas such as H-1B, F-1/OPT, or similar), and must be authorized to begin work in the U.S. on their first day of employment.

What You'll Do

Own and evolve the product roadmap for Developer Experience, CI, and CD teams, spanning the developer portal (Backstage), service scaffolding and golden paths, shared application frameworks and micro-frontend platforms, CI pipeline templates and build automation, test infrastructure, artifact/registry management, and deployment tooling

Partner with engineering leads across Developer Platform teams to turn platform strategy into a scoped, sequenced roadmap with clear ownership

Define and track adoption and outcome metrics for developer tooling, e.g., deployment frequency, lead time, change failure rate, mean time to restore, and developer satisfaction and use them to prioritize investment

Drive the self-service agenda: reduce dependency on manual platform tickets by making golden paths, scaffolding, and deployment the default way engineers ship

Gather and synthesize feedback from engineering teams across the org (via SDLC insight tooling, developer surveys, and direct engagement) to identify friction points and translate them into roadmap priorities

Represent the Developer Experience, CI, and CD teams’ roadmaps to platform leadership, product stakeholders, and cross-functional partners; communicate tradeoffs, sequencing, and progress clearly

Monitor industry trends in developer platforms, CI/CD tooling, and internal developer portals (Backstage, GitHub Actions, Argo, progressive delivery patterns) to inform build-vs-buy and roadmap decisions

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

Prior product management experience, ideally owning developer-facing or platform products (internal tooling, CI/CD, developer portals, or infrastructure platforms)

Demonstrated ability to define and ship a product roadmap in a technical, engineering-facing domain including comfortable translating ambiguous developer pain points into scoped, prioritized work

Working technical fluency with CI/CD concepts and tooling (pipelines, build/test automation, artifact management, deployment strategies) sufficient to have credible conversations with engineers and make informed prioritization calls

Experience helping engineering teams prioritize features and capabilities for shared application frameworks — such as service chassis libraries, micro-frontend scaffolding, or shared middleware — balancing individual team needs against platform-wide consistency and adoption

Track record managing product development for infrastructure or platform capabilities with multiple engineering stakeholders and competing priorities

Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills — able to align engineering leads, platform leadership, and consuming product teams around a shared roadmap

Comfort operating with metrics-driven prioritization (e.g., DORA metrics: deployment frequency, change failure rate, lead time, MTTR)<
