Platform Engineer (Encryption & Data Security)

<div class="content-intro"><p>With 1,000+ intelligence professionals serving over 1,900 clients worldwide, Recorded Future is the world’s most advanced, and largest, intelligence company!</p></div><p>The Platform Engineer helps design, build, and operate shared infrastructure services that development teams across the organization rely on every day.</p> <p>You'll work on cloud infrastructure, automation, and secure-by-default platform services — including areas like encryption and certificate management — enabling teams to build and ship with confidence.</p> <h2>What You'll Do:</h2> <ul> <li>Build and maintain infrastructure services used by development teams across the organization.</li> <li>Contribute to platform capabilities around data handling, encryption, and certificates.</li> <li>Develop and manage infrastructure as code using GitOps principles.</li> <li>Help operate and improve our AWS cloud infrastructure for reliability and scalability.</li> <li>Collaborate closely with development teams to ensure smooth integration and operations.</li> <li>Participate in on-call rotations to support infrastructure availability.</li> <li>Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues across infrastructure and applications.</li> <li>Communicate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions.</li> </ul> <h2>What You'll Bring:</h2> <ul> <li>Experience in platform engineering, site reliability engineering, DevOps, or a related field.</li> <li>Hands-on experience with AWS core services (e.g., EC2, S3, VPC).</li> <li>Proficiency in at least one programming language.</li> <li>Experience with an Infrastructure as Code tool.</li> <li>Solid Linux fundamentals (networking, storage, operating systems).</li> <li>Familiarity with TLS and certificates, and an interest in growing in this area.</li> <li>Good problem-solving and debugging skills.</li> <li>Clear written and verbal communication, and the ability to work well in a team.</li> </ul> <h2>Preferred Qualifications:</h2> <ul> <li>DeepAWS experience&nbsp;</li> <li>Knowledge of PKI, certificate lifecycle management, or key management.</li> <li>Experience deploying infrastructure through GitOps pipelines.</li> <li>Familiarity with CDNs and network fundamentals.</li> <li>Additional programming languages such as Go or Java.</li> <li>Experience with large-scale or distributed systems.</li> <li>Knowledge of messaging systems such as RabbitMQ or Kafka.</li> <li>Experience with compliance frameworks (e.g., FedRAMP, CMMC).</li> <li>Relevant AWS certifications.</li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><p><strong>Why should you join Recorded Future?<br></strong>Recorded Future employees (or “Futurists”), represent over 40 nationalities and embody our core values of having high standards, practicing inclusion, and acting ethically.
