We take a holistic approach to creating systems and tools that help developers deliver applications seamlessly and reliably without getting bogged down in infrastructure complexity.</p> <p>As a <em>Platform Engineer</em>, you’ll work at the intersection of development, infrastructure, and operations. You’ll help shape and execute our long-term platform vision, empowering Catawiki teams to deliver value to customers with speed, reliability, and security.</p> <h3><strong>What You'll Do</strong></h3> <p>You’ll build and improve the platform capabilities that enable our engineering teams to develop, deploy, and operate applications effectively at scale.</p> <ul> <li><strong>Build a self-service developer platform</strong> with a particular emphasis on developer experience, designing and maintaining platforms that abstract complexity and give teams the tools to deploy, monitor, and optimise their applications.</li> <li><strong>Orchestrate cloud-native infrastructure</strong>, manage Kubernetes clusters and other cloud resources, focusing on performance, scalability, and cost efficiency through FinOps practices.</li> <li><strong>Boost developer productivity</strong> by building and enhancing CI/CD pipelines, GitOps workflows, and reusable templates that accelerate development and deployment cycles.</li> <li><strong>Drive reliability and scalability</strong> through applying practices for fault tolerance, disaster recovery, and scaling so applications run smoothly under changing conditions.</li> <li><strong>Improve platform operations</strong> usage and enhance our observability stack to monitor platform health and resolve incidents proactively.</li> <li><strong>Collaborate and innovate</strong> by partnering with product teams to understand their needs, build simple and impactful solutions, and champion cloud-native best practices across Catawiki.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>What You'll Bring</strong></h3> <p>You measure what matters, introduce changes gradually, and treat failure as a normal part of learning. You use tooling and automation wherever possible to reduce toil, and enjoy sharing knowledge with others.</p> <ul> <li><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Cloud-native expertise</span>: At least 5 years of production experience with Kubernetes, container orchestration, and cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.</li> <li><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Automation mindset</span>: Experience automating workflows and CI/CD pipelines and working with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Ansible.</li> <li><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Observability experience</span>: Hands-on experience using and maintaining tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or OpenTelemetry to improve reliability and performance.</li> <li><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Strong ownership</span>: You proactively address platform issues and work toward long-term scalability and resilience.</li> <li>Collaborative approach: You work effectively with developers and cross-functional teams to align goals and deliver impactful yet simple solutions.</li> <li><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Continuous learning</span>: You keep developing your knowledge of cloud-native tools, technologies, and practices in a fast-moving ecosystem.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>How We Work</strong></h3> <p>The Platform Horizontal supports engineering teams across Catawiki by reducing infrastructure complexity and providing reliable, secure, and scalable foundations.</p> <ul> <li>We collaborate closely with product teams to understand their challenges and improve their development experience.</li> <li>We favour self-service capabilities, reusable solutions, automation, and measurable, gradual improvements.</li> <li>We share knowledge and treat reliability, security, quality, and developer experience as shared responsibilities.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Where You'll Be</strong></h3> <p>This is a <em>Hybrid</em> role based in Lisbon. <strong>You will work from our </strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Lisbon Office</strong></span><strong> a minimum of 2 days per week.</strong></p> <h3><strong>In Return</strong></h3> <p>You’ll be part of an enthusiastic, highly motivated team of <strong>800+ Catawikians.</strong></p> <ul> <li>A competitive <span style="text-decoration: underline;">Annual Gross Base Salary</span> depending on your level, competencies, and overall experience.</li> <li><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Meal Allowance Card</span> stipend per working day, in addition to salary.</li> <li><span style="tex
