Marketing Principal/ Director - Physical AI Location: Redwood City, California (Bay Area) Employment type: Full-time, Regular Level: Principal / Director Individual Contributor Role Scope: Overall Marketing Lead Reports to: VP, Product & Growth About Dexterity Dexterity is the enterprise Physical AI company building intelligent robots for complex industrial work. Dexterity's Mech systems combine Foresight world model, robotics, and Physical AI platform to perform demanding logistics workflows, including trailer loading, trailer unloading, airport baggage handling, etc. at the speed, reliability, and safety levels required for high-volume operations. Dexterity's Foresight World Model powers real-time perception, planning, and execution across physical environments with the interpretability required for industrial deployment. About the Role Dexterity is seeking a hands-on senior marketer to make our story clear, credible, and commercially useful. You will create qualified enterprise demand, define our position in Physical AI, translate complex technology for enterprise buyers, and generate content that brings our systems to life. You will serve as Dexterity's overall marketing lead. This is a Principal/ Director level individual-contributor position reporting to the VP, Product & Growth, with company-wide functional ownership and no direct reports initially. You will set direction, choose priorities, and personally create and measure the work. The role has four priorities: enterprise demand; category positioning and content generation; executive voice, social, and content distribution; and events, trade media, and industry engagement. It is designed for a senior marketer who wants broad ownership and still enjoys hands-on work. You and the VP, Product & Growth will agree on priorities and tradeoffs. You will work directly with executive leadership and partner closely with Sales, Product, Engineering, Customer Success, etc. AI-driven workflows and automation will be core to the function, with human review wherever strategy, creative quality, technical accuracy, or confidentiality matters. Responsibilities Create Qualified Enterprise Demand Partner with Sales on priority segments, target accounts, buyer needs, lead criteria, and follow-up. Design and run focused account-based and industry campaigns that connect Dexterity's technical differentiation to real operational problems. Build the campaign journeys, content, landing experiences, and tracking needed to improve and scale what works. Report sourced and influenced pipeline honestly, with a documented attribution method that distinguishes engagement from qualified demand. Build Category Positioning and Content Define Dexterity's positioning, value proposition, audience messaging, and competitive story across Physical AI, robotics, and warehouse automation. Translate technical capabilities and deployment realities into clear narratives for business and technical audiences. Maintain a core message framework used across the website, sales materials, launches, executive communications, recruiting, and events. Personally create content across videos, demos, technical explainers, launches, web, presentations, and sales enablement. Lead Executive Voice, Social Media, and Content Distribution Build credible voices for Dexterity and its executives, and run the editorial calendar from drafting through publication. Turn important product, technical, company, and market moments into channel-specific content. Repurpose and distribute priority content across social, web, email, executive channels, and Sales. Measure whether the work reaches and engages target buyers, partners, technical audiences, media, and talent. Coordinate Events, Trade Media, and Industry Engagement Enable Dexterity's presence at priority events, including MODEX, ProMat, and NVIDIA GTC, from planning through follow-up. Coordinate schedules, collateral, executive participation, target-account meetings, and lead capture with internal teams and direct vendors. Build relationships with relevant business, AI, robotics, logistics, supply-chain, and trade media. Develop pitches and prepare spokespeople. Review event and media results based on account engagement, meetings, follow-up, reach, and whether key messages landed. Use AI and Automation Across the Function Build repeatable AI-driven workflows for research, content creation, campaigns, distribution, follow-up, and reporting. Automate repetitive work where it improves speed or quality, and measure the results. Document each workflow and set clear requirements for human review, source verification, confidentiality, and data handling. How the Role is Prioritized The expected allocation is approximately: 30%: Enterprise demand and focused campaigns 25%: Category positioning and content generation 25%: Executive voice, social, and content distribution 20%: Events, trade media, and industry engagement The allocation is directional and will shift with business needs. Qualifications Required 8+ years of relevant B2B marketing experience, or comparable work demonstrating Principal-level judgment and ownership. Experience operating with solo-marketer scope in a complex technology environment, either company-wide or for a product, category, segment, or business line. You personally owned both strategy and execution without relying on a large specialist team. Experience marketing enterprise AI, physical AI, robotics, or complex industrial technology to enterprise operations buyers in logistics, supply chain, warehousing, fleet, manufacturing, or a related/ similar environment.
