Teams build apps, agents, and analytics directly in Sigma, with governance and security inherited from the cloud data warehouse. No extracts, no separate AI pipelines, no shadow stack to maintain. Sigma is trusted by more than 2,000 customers, including AMD, Duolingo, Colgate-Palmolive, and JPMorgan Chase. </p> <p>Sigma announced its $80M in Series E financing in May 2026. The round was led by Princeville Capital, with new strategic investors Databricks Ventures, ServiceNow Ventures, and Workday Ventures participating alongside returning investors Altimeter Capital, Avenir Growth Capital, D1 Capital Partners, K5 Global, NewView Capital, Spark Capital, Sutter Hill Ventures, and XN. This milestone follows Sigma reaching $200M in annual recurring revenue in April 2026, with more than 100% year-over-year growth and 1.1 million new active users added in the latest fiscal year.</p> <p>We are growing the Solution Engineering team and are looking for a Manager, Commercial Solution Engineering to lead our Commercial team — a group of Solution Engineers with a shared mission to make data access easy and drive business results.</p> <p>The Sigma Solution Engineering Manager is a first-line, player-coach leader who believes in the power of coaching people and the power of analytics to transform organizations. You act as a trusted advisor to your team and to the business, working in tandem with Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Marketing, while remaining ultimately responsible for the health, growth, and output of your Commercial Solution Engineering team.</p> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>What you will be doing</strong></span></p> <ul> <li> <p>Hire, ramp, and coach a team of Commercial Solution Engineers, giving direct and timely feedback delivered from the heart — always be coaching</p> </li> <li> <p>Build individual development plans that give each SE agency and a path toward future leadership</p> </li> <li> <p>Keep a warm bench by continuously building a pipeline of strong SE candidates so your next hiring search never starts cold</p> </li> <li> <p>Be ready to personally step into a discovery call, deliver a demo, present a roadmap, cover a customer call, or represent Sigma in front of an executive audience at any time</p> </li> <li> <p>Partner with Commercial sales leaders, customer success, and the partner channel on strategy and execution to grow revenue in your territory</p> </li> <li> <p>Represent Solution Engineering in forecast, pipeline, and deal-strategy conversations</p> </li> <li> <p>Coach your team to root every engagement in the customer's problem — why Sigma, why now, why do anything, so what/who cares</p> </li> <li> <p>Review discovery sessions, demos, and POCs to raise the bar on quality across the team</p> </li> <li> <p>Build relationships with Product, Marketing, and other cross-functional partners so SE feedback shapes the roadmap and messaging</p> </li> <li> <p>Represent the Commercial segment's voice in company-wide Solution Engineering initiatives</p> </li> <li> <p>Set and deliver on quarterly and annual objectives for your team</p> </li> <li> <p>Ensure RFP/RFI, technical, and security responses coming out of your team meet Sigma's bar</p> </li> <li> <p>Manage day-to-day team operations, including capacity planning, deal coverage, and performance management</p> </li> </ul> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>How we define first-line SE leadership</strong></span></p> <p>As leaders, our goal is to make our people and teams successful. We are more effective as one team.</p> </li> <li> <p>Keep a warm bench — Continuously build a pipeline of strong candidates so a hiring search never starts cold.</p> </li> </ul> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Qualifications we need</strong></span></p> <ul> <li> <p>4-5+ years of experience as a Solution Engineer, Sales Engineer, or similar pre-sales technical role, ideally in business intelligence, analytics, or data platforms</p> </li> <li> <p>1-5 years of experience directly managing a technical or customer-facing team, with a track record of coaching individuals into stronger performers</p> </li> <li> <p>Strong data background — fluency in SQL, cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery), and modern BI/analytics tooling</p> </li> <li> <p>Customer relationship skills and a track record of partnering with sales leadership to grow revenue in a defined territory or segment</p> </li> <li> <p>Comfort presenting to and building relationships with VP/C-level audiences</p> </li> <li> <p>Experience building and maintaining a hiring pipeline</p> </li> <li> <
