By refusing to settle, you can help redefine what’s possible and shape the future of mobility.</span></strong></p></div><p>The <strong>Lean Systems Engineer</strong> supports the development and implementation of the <strong>Lucid Production System (LPS)</strong> by driving lean manufacturing initiatives across the organization. Reporting to the Lean Systems Manager, this role takes a hands-on, shop-floor-focused approach to building a strong lean culture and enabling continuous improvement in safety, quality, cost, and productivity.</p> <p>The Lean Systems Engineer applies core lean methodologies—including <strong>problem solving, standardization, waste elimination,</strong> and <strong>process optimization</strong>—to support operational teams and lead improvement projects. This role partners with employees at all levels to identify inefficiencies, implement sustainable solutions, and strengthen daily management systems.</p> <p>Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining lean tools and systems, supporting training programs, coaching teams on lean principles, and ensuring alignment with operational performance goals. The Lean Systems Engineer also plays a critical role in improving safety, reducing production issues, minimizing costs, and enhancing vehicle quality through structured continuous improvement.</p> <p>This position requires strong communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to influence teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate is hands-on, data-driven, and passionate about building a culture of operational excellence. </p> <p> </p> <h4><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></h4> <ul> <li>Ensure Lucid Production System principles are implemented across all operational areas. </li> <li>Optimize employee engagement in all Lucid Production System’ programs. </li> <li>Assist in eliminating roadblocks to Continuous Improvement. </li> <li>Train and coaching, all levels and functions in lean principles and their applications.</li> <li>Facilitates LPS program review meetings.</li> <li>Conduct layered audits and process reviews.</li> <li>Lead and support departmental Gemba walks.</li> <li>Monitor departmental performance and analyze data to identify focused opportunities for reducing costs and improving productivity, utilization, and quality.</li> <li>Support Manufacturing initiatives that ensure factory performance objectives are met in all key performance areas.</li> <li>Develop, implement, and maintain Lean tools, systems, and procedures for lean programs, with a current emphasis on problem solving, performance management, continuous improvement, 6S (5S plus Safety), and standardization.</li> <li>Champion regular Kaizen workshops with cross-functional teams to implement continuous improvement opportunities.</li> <li>Utilize Business Process Automation tools to ensure proper monitoring for the operation performance.</li> <li>Manage work instruction software and ensure standard compliance beside authoring and control needed changes.<strong> </strong></li> </ul> <p><strong>Skills:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience working in an automotive OEM required </li> <li>Automotive Manufacturing continuous improvement experience, Relative Lean role experience is a plus.</li> <li>Learn manufacturing principles, well versed in both theory and hands on practice.</li> <li>Motivation with excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.</li> <li>Skilled in coaching/mentoring in on-the-job application of new skills.</li> <li>Ability to lead without authority.</li> <li>Knowledge of production processes, costs, quality controls, logistics, and other areas of manufacturing.</li> <li>Knowledge of TPM, Autonomous Maintenance, Preventative Maintenance or similar maintenance programs.</li> <li>Kaizen Event Facilitation.</li> <li>Solid problem-solving background, including but not limited to 8D methodology</li> <li>Lean tools techniques such as time studies, data analysis, capacity analysis, work instructions.</li> <li>Strong presentation development skills and proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.</li> <li>Industrial Engineering techniques such as time studies, data analysis, capacity analysis, work instruction development.<strong> </strong></li> </ul> <h4><strong>Minimum Qualifications:</strong></h4> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in engineering required Industrial, Mechanical, Production Engineering preferred. </li> <li>3+ years of related experience required. </li> </ul> <p> </p> <p> </p><div class="content-conclusion"><div> <p data-ccp-border-top="0px none " data-ccp-padding-top="0px" data-ccp-border-bottom="1
