<h2><strong>Set a new pulse for healthcare!</strong></h2> <p>We are looking for a <strong>Head of Design Systems</strong> to join the <strong>Brand and Design</strong> team at Doctolib.</p> <p>Your mission will be to ensure every Doctolib product surface is built on a consistent, high-quality design foundation. You will own <strong>Oxygen</strong>, Doctolib's design system - much more than a component library. Oxygen is how we deliver our brand identity consistently throughout the product and the critical infrastructure that ensures design quality at scale across an AI-first development environment. With over 50 designers and engineers building across multiple markets and product surfaces, your work will directly shape the experience of more than 90 million patients and 400,000 healthcare professionals.</p> <p>Working in the tech team at Doctolib means building innovative products and features to improve the daily lives of care teams and patients.</p> <p> </p> <h2><strong>What you'll do</strong></h2> <p>Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li><strong>Set the multi-year vision and roadmap</strong> for Oxygen, connecting the dots across engineering, design, and brand teams. Translate system health into business impact and own the investment strategy for the teams, tools, and governance that support it.</li> <li><strong>Establish cross-functional governance</strong> across Design, Product, Engineering, and Brand teams, defining contribution models, change management processes, and the standards other teams are expected to follow.</li> <li><strong>Own design output quality across the product,</strong> ensuring that AI-generated interfaces are coherent, consistent, and on-brand at every touchpoint across the company.</li> <li><strong>Define and drive cross-organizational adoption,</strong> measuring adoption rate, component coverage, and contribution velocity, and connecting those metrics to product team speed and quality.</li> <li><strong>Manage and grow a team of design system designers and engineers,</strong> setting career paths, a high bar for craft, and hiring for the roles the system needs next.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <h2><strong>Who you are</strong></h2> <p>Before you read on: if you don't have the exact profile described below, but you feel this job description matches your skill set, we still encourage you to apply.</p> <p><strong>You'll be a great fit if you:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Have <strong>10+ years of experience in product design or design systems,</strong> with a proven track record of scaling a mature, complex system across multiple product teams or lines of business</li> <li>Bring <strong>engineering fluency:</strong> you understand the technical architecture of a design system, how platform teams operate, and the latest best practices in AI-first software engineering as it relates to design systems</li> <li>Have demonstrated <strong>senior stakeholder management skills,</strong> with the ability to negotiate priorities with leadership at Director level and above across large, distributed organizations, and drive change management at scale</li> <li>Take a <strong>data-informed and outcome-oriented approach:</strong> you measure system health in real metrics (adoption rate, handoff defect rate, contribution velocity) and connect those numbers to product quality and business outcomes</li> <li>Have experience in a <strong>regulated, enterprise, or healthcare-adjacent context</strong> where accessibility (WCAG), localization (i18n, RTL), and multi-market constraints are critical to design systems</li> <li>Are <strong>fluent in English</strong></li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>It would be fantastic if you:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Have experience owning large-scale change management programs across cross-functional organizations</li> <li>Speak additional European languages, such as French, German, or Italian</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Life at Doctolib Tech</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Our solutions are built on a single fully cloud-native platform that supports web and mobile app interfaces, multiple languages, and is adapted to country and healthcare specialty requirements.</li> <li>Our stack is composed of Rails, TypeScript, Java, Python, Kotlin, Swift, and React Native.</li> <li>We leverage AI ethically across our products to empower patients and health professionals.
