This role is responsible for ensuring that all product, process, and design changes are properly evaluated, documented, approved, and implemented — balancing engineering rigor, regulatory compliance, cost, schedule, and risk. You'll chair change review meetings, drive cross-functional alignment, and act as the gatekeeper ensuring changes don't compromise product quality, safety, or configuration integrity.</p> <h2><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Chair and facilitate regular Engineering Change Control Board meetings, driving structured review, discussion, and disposition of Engineering Change Requests (ECRs), Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), and Engineering Change Notices (ECNs)</li> <li>Own the change management process from initiation through implementation and closure, ensuring consistent application across all engineering changes</li> <li>Review submitted change requests for completeness, technical accuracy, and business justification prior to board review</li> <li>Coordinate cross-functional impact assessments with engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, regulatory, and program management stakeholders</li> <li>Ensure changes are properly classified (e.g., major/minor, emergency, class I/II) and routed through appropriate approval workflows</li> <li>Maintain change control documentation, meeting minutes, decision logs, and audit trails in the PLM/QMS system</li> <li>Track change request status, cycle times, and backlog; report metrics to leadership on process health and bottlenecks</li> <li>Ensure traceability between change requests, requirements, design documents, and verification/validation activities</li> <li>Enforce configuration management principles to maintain product baseline integrity across hardware, software, and documentation</li> <li>Identify and escalate high-risk changes, conflicting priorities, or resource constraints to leadership</li> <li>Drive continuous improvement of the change control process, tools, and templates</li> <li>Support internal and external audits (e.g., ISO, FDA, customer audits) by ensuring change records are complete and compliant</li> <li>Train and coach engineers and stakeholders on change control procedures and best practices</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field (or equivalent experience)</li> <li>5+ years of experience in engineering change management, configuration management, or product lifecycle management</li> <li>Experience chairing or actively participating in change control boards (CCB) in a regulated or structured engineering environment</li> <li>Strong understanding of configuration management principles (e.g., EIA-649, ISO 10007) and change control best practices</li> <li>Hands-on experience with PLM/PDM or QMS systems (e.g., Windchill, Arena, Agile PLM, MasterControl, Propel, etc)</li> <li>Excellent facilitation, meeting management, and cross-functional communication skills</li> <li>Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess technical and business risk</li> <li>Experience working with engineering documentation: BOMs, drawings, specifications, requirements</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Certification in configuration management (CMPIC) or quality (ASQ CQE/CQM)</li> <li>Experience with Agile/hardware-software co-development environments</li> <li>Six Sigma or Lean process improvement experience</li> <li>Prior people management or team leadership experience</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Key Competencies</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Strong facilitation and conflict resolution skills — able to drive consensus among competing stakeholder interests</li> <li>Detail-oriented with rigorous documentation habits</li> <li>Comfortable balancing speed of execution with process discipline</li> <li>Clear, concise communicator able to present to both technical teams and executive leadership</li> <li>Sound judgment under ambiguity and pressure</li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><hr> <p><strong>For US-based roles - What you’ll get:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Competitive salary + annual performance-based bonus eligibility</li> <li>Medical, dental, and vision insurance</li> <li>401(k) with company match</li> <li>Paid time off and company holidays </li> </ul> <p><strong>For Mexico-based roles - What you’ll get:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Competitive salary + annual performance bonus eligibility</li> <li>Christmas Bonus (Aguinaldo): 30 days</li> <li>Major medical expenses and life insurance</li> <li>Paid time off and holidays (per local policy)</li> </ul> <p><strong>For all roles:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Professional development and growth opportunities</li> <li>Opportunity to gr
