We all take initiative and remain adaptable, overcoming obstacles by prioritizing respect.</p></div><p><strong>Position Description</strong></p> <p>Origis Energy is seeking a <strong>Director</strong> <strong>Operational Performance Engineering</strong> to join our team reporting to the Senior Director, Performance Engineering & Optimization. The individual will develop and lead strategy, direction and implementation of all technical processes and procedures relating to operational fleet performance. The role will have a hand in crafting the overall performance strategy for the organization and define the technical critical processes, systems, and tools that will allow the overall performance engineering group to drive the highest value/MWh possible across all operating renewable energy assets. In addition, this role will be the technical interface in developing a cohesive bond between our Remote Operations Center (ROC), Field Operations Teams and Asset Management.</p> <p>The <strong>Director</strong> <strong>Operational Performance Engineering</strong> is a regular, full-time position, and is eligible for our generous employee benefits package, including employer paid health insurance, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employer matching contributions, and other great benefits.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Provide direct oversight and accountability for all operational performance engineering activities across Origis Energy–owned and third‑party PV and BESS assets.</li> <li>Act as a player‑coach, setting strategy and standards while personally leading advanced performance analyses, modeling, and root‑cause investigations.</li> <li>Advance team effectiveness across Asset Management, Field Operations, and the ROC, ensuring strong cross‑functional alignment and execution.</li> <li>Evaluate and reduce uncertainty in PV and BESS energy performance models, including Expected Energy and as‑built production assumptions.</li> <li>Develop and deploy performance models, analytics, and tools to identify underperformance, prioritize issues, and streamline notification and direction to Field Operations.</li> <li>Own fleet performance reporting (daily, weekly, monthly), ensuring accuracy, consistency, and actionable insights.</li> <li>Provide continuous operational feedback loop into Design, Engineering, Finance, and Supply Chain to improve designs, assumptions, AVL decisions, and equipment selection.</li> <li>Translate commercial and operational objectives into well‑defined initiatives and KPIs, tracking progress and driving measurable performance improvement.</li> <li>Lead the development, documentation, and implementation of technical processes and procedures across the organization.</li> <li>Support and evaluate technical investment decisions that improve operational efficiency, reliability, and long‑term asset value.</li> <li>Serve as the primary point of contact for the Asset Management technical platform (Power Factors Unity), including vendor coordination, onboarding, QA, and optimization.</li> <li>Partner with O&M subcontractors and site technicians to identify, diagnose, and resolve outages, chronic issues, and product failures.</li> </ul> <p><strong> </strong></p> <p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Mathematical Science required (Master’s
