As a DevOps Engineer, Sr. you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. Our work depends on a TS/SCI cleared DevOps Engineer joining our team to support our intelligence customer in St. Louis, MO or Springfield, VA.</p> <p>In this role, you'll join the Common Operations Release Environment (CORE) team, providing high-quality, cost-effective cloud solutions to our clients. As a DevOps Engineer on our team, you will be responsible for distributed and managed services automating the installation, configuration and maintenance of platform services.</p> <p><strong>What You'll be Owning</strong></p> <ul> <li>Automate and optimize service deployments</li> <li>Integrate with enterprise authentication services</li> <li>Establish and improve system monitoring while maintaining established security protocols within test, development, and production systems.</li> <li>Architect, build and maintain On-Prem and cloud infrastructure to support team and customer initiatives</li> <li>Maintain and improve existing infrastructure (build out autoscaling, support new services, optimize for cost efficiencies/authentication/search, etc.)</li> <li>Administer production, staging and development environments</li> <li>Manage and aggregate server logs and monitor for security and system related incidents</li> <li>Monitor and analyze system performance, such as server load and resource usage</li> <li>Maintain and improve existing build and deployment processes using CI/CD tools</li> <li>Apply configuration management disciplines to maintain software revisions, security patches, hardening, and documentation</li> <li>Enforce best practices for security and reliability, like access control and vulnerability testing</li> <li>Work with A&A Teams to maintain security requirements for operation of systems</li> <li>Maintain documentation of designs/configurations, ensuring team members have continuity of recurring tasks</li> <li>Follow up on engineering tasks for operational solutions, and validate completion</li> <li>Manage operational readiness board – present at weekly meetings and determine if development services are ready for automation based on best practices and maintainability</li> <li>Track and ensure routine operations maintenance tasks are completed in a timely manner</li> <li>Participant in SAFe and Scrum development teams and meetings</li> <li>On-call support will be required</li> </ul> <p><strong>What You Must Have</strong></p> <ul> <li>US Citizenship and active TS/SCI with the ability to obtain a CI Polygraph</li> <li>Degree in a relevant area and 8+ years of relevant experience, additional years of experience can offset degree requirement.</li> <li>Experience working with container images and platforms (Kubernetes/Docker/OpenShift)</li> <li>Strong understanding of DevOps and software/application development processes</li> <li>Understanding of GitLab or other DevOps/Continuous Integration tools</li> <li>Understanding of microservice design and architectural pattern best practices</li> <li>Understanding of Python, Bash, and Shell scripting</li> <li>Knowledge of network technologies, common infrastructure components, load balancers, firewalls, virtual and physical infrastructure design</li> <li>Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills</li> <li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills</li> <li>Must possess excellent time management skills and the drive to work unsupervised</li> <li>Experience with deploying On-Prem infrastructure</li> </ul> <p><strong>What Would be Nice to Have</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience in building processes for deploying to a Kubernetes based environment using Gitlab and Helm</li> <li>Understanding of access management and security groups (i.e. IAM, S3 bucket, SSH, VPN, etc.)</li> <li>Ability to write and use unit and functional testing</li> <li>Experience using Jira and Confluence</li> </ul> <p> </p><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="description"><p></p> <p><strong>Pay Range: </strong>At GRVTY, we understand that compensation is influenced by many factors—such as geographic location, federal contract labor categories, wage rates, prior experience, skillsets, education, and certifications.<br>We’re proud to offer a work environment that empowers our team to achieve a strong work-life balance.
