Our work depends on a TS/SCI cleared Citrix Software Virtualization Engineer joining our team to support our intelligence customer in Arnold, MO or Springfield, VA.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Development of Virtualized packages for mission baseline applications <ul> <li>Applications will be consumed both by VDI sessions and thick clients</li> <li>Applications include those with plugins and advanced graphics requirements</li> </ul> </li> <li>Work with application testers and mission SME’s to validate mission application behavior</li> <li>Incorporate any required sequencing changes into the app sequencing process</li> <li>Identify facets of user application settings (registry, AppData, etc) that need to be persisted across sessions in a non-persistent VDI environment</li> <li>Identify automation opportunities for application sequencing and work with the engineering team to streamline the sequencing process for mission applications once established</li> <li>Assist the virtualization team and VDI team with application delivery infrastructure configuration as needed</li> <li>Improve backup/Disaster Recovery and Continuity of Operations</li> <li>Articulate knowledge, discoveries, designs, etc rapidly and concisely in written detailed designs, test plans and test cases, implementation plans, operational guides, and training guides under project management time and cost-constrained deadlines</li> <li>Perform work without appreciable direction and exercise considerable latitude in the determination of technical objectives of assignments</li> <li>Work with VMware software defined data center products and tools for troubleshooting and performance tuning</li> <li>Analyze, test, and apply regular security patches and software update as required</li> <li>Incident resolution and fulfillment of software requests</li> <li>Create and maintain technical documentation and provide training to team members</li> <li>Performs all other work as assigned</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>What you’ll need to succeed</p> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience with Systems Administration/Virtualization (additional education, training, certifications, or work experience can be substituted in lieu of degree)</li> <li>3+ years of experience with VDI technologies, including VMware Horizon, Citrix Virtual Apps and desktops, or Microsoft Remote Desktop Services</li> <li>2+ years of experience with Citrix XenApp or comparable application virtualization technology (Microsoft App-V, FlexApp, App Volumes, etc)</li> <li>8140.01M IAT Level II Certification</li> <li>In-depth and up-to-date knowledge of virtualization products and capabilities</li> <li>Ability to analyze and apply virtualization product capabilities to changing program requirements</li> <li>Good work ethic and active desire to learn</li> <li>Skillful time management and organizational skills to set and meet deadlines</li> <li>Excellent written and oral communication skills</li> </ul> <p>Desired:</p> <ul> <li>Experience with Windows Desktop (10/11) and Server (12+) Operating systems</li> <li>Utilizing scripting and automation tools (e.g. Powershell) to automate tasks and manage deployments</li> <li>Experience with non-persistent desktop environments</li> <li>Experience with profile management solutions such as VMware DEM or Liquidware Labs’ Profile-Unity</li> <li>Familiarity with Active Directory, specifically Group Policy</li> <li>Understanding of load-balancing application delivery services</li> <li>Understanding of ITIL principles</li> <li>Able to create architectural design documents and presentations</li> <li>Able to test and apply hardware and software updates</li> <li>Understand architectural frameworks such as TOGAF</li> <li>Virtualization computer environment certification (i.e. VMware Certified Associate for Data Center Virtualization, VCA-DCV)</li> <li>Familiarity with ticketing systems (Service+, ServiceNow, Remedy, etc.)</li> </ul> <p>Travel</p> <ul> <li>There will be occasional trips to the customer site in Springfield, VA</li> </ul> <p><strong>Additional Information</strong></p> <ul> <li>All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.</li> <li>Compensation is unique to each candidate and relative to the skills and experience they bring to the position. The salary range for this position is typically $130-140k.
